Subject: Urgent Call: Lahug Fire Relief - Immediate Donations Requested

Dear Bishops,

In keeping with the commandment to love our neighbors as ourselves, we have an immediate opportunity to extend service and love to those directly impacted by the Lahug fire—our literal neighbors within the reach of the Cebu City Stake.

Please urgently invite and encourage your ward members to donate any useful items they can contribute, specifically:

Essential Supplies: Food, clean water, clothing, hygiene products, and basic household items. Additionally, we recognize the emotional and spiritual toll this event has taken.

Emotional and Mental Support: To offer comfort, strength, and counseling to overcome the traumatic event that just transpired. (If your ward has a mental health specialist, please identify them and their availability to assist if needed.)

Announce this request today so that donations can be brought to your respective Sunday services tomorrow, March 2nd, 2025.

Drop-off Location: Lahug Chapel, Cebu City Stake High Council Room

Drop-off Time: 4:00 PM
