Gratitude

In everything give thanks (D&C 98:1); Thou shalt thank the Lord thy God in all things (D&C 59:7); And now I would that ye should be humble,… always returning thanks unto God for whatsoever things ye do receive (Alma 7:23).

Questions

• Why does God require that we show gratitude?

• Why are those that are grateful happier than those who are not?

• What is the relationship between being grateful and having prayers answered?

Objective

The gift of recognizing God’s blessings upon us is a gift He will bestow when we sincerely desire and ask for it. With that gift comes the ability to see His hand in our life and receive His guidance.
